Our Company Owner
Our company owner, Lakis Apostoli, has over 40 years building experience working across the U.K., coordinating and supervising a wide variety of projects both on and offsite. Laki started working on a building site at the age of 15 working as a labourer, learning to paint and decorate before moving on to plumbing and fitting kitchens and bathrooms. He trained in tiling and specialised in marble and granite. He then learned the structural side by working on foundations, learning how to form structural systems that support and anchor the superstructure of a building. Laki also learned how to build roof frames out of wood and concrete. He worked on sewage systems and the perfect flow of water, along with water prevention and damp proofing. He specialised in preventing damp and corrosion on buildings. Lakis’ building knowledge didn’t stop there; he spent many years on projects learning and working on insulation, bricklaying and then learning how to render, plaster, as well as fitting both windows and door frames. He worked on all electrical devices and learnt from a variety of civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers. Lakis’ knowledge and experience extends to site evaluation, development design, specifications, planning and building permits, through to the construction process. He learned how to interpret contracts and technical drawings, and has the experience to renovate old buildings and the knowledge to build on a plot of land, understanding the complexities that accompany such a project. Laki negotiates and collaborates with architects, engineers and contractors to comply with legal requirements, safety codes and all regulations to make sure projects are completed and delivered within the specified time.
